Mens Fashion Shirt Trends Spring Summer 2016

The warmer months always bring some changes in fashion trends, so what did the catwalks for Spring Summer 2016 have in store for men's shirt fashion?

Surprisingly, for Spring Summer 2016, designers haven't made it all about colour for men as they usually do this time of year. Instead, grey was a very common shade, along with other subdued hues, which is good news for those who already have grey in their wardrobe. This is all about how you wear the colour grey, so that it doesn't appear boring or drab. Textures are the way to make a grey shirt interesting, a cool good quality cotton for the spring and summer time for example, perhaps in a short sleeve, will look good for both work and casual. The catwalks also featured men in head to toe grey, but the way to do this is to vary the shade of the grey on the top and bottom half, so there is some contrast.

Fifties style shirts were heavily featured, polo shirts with larger collars, and short sleeved oversized shirts. This style of shirt teamed with a tailored trouser really smartens the look up. But this style of baggy shirt is a summery casual look and should not be adopted for the office or any smart occasions.

The best shirt to wear for work in the warmer months is a smart crisp cotton that will keep you cool. Depending on your day job, a short sleeved shirt will be appropriate, however not all work environments will accept this dress code. WH Taylor Shirtmakers sell made to measure shirts in a range of cool cotton fabrics, in on trend colours, with both short sleeves and long sleeves, and so you are sure to find something for your Spring and Summer wardrobe.
